It was mediocre.

It was enjoyable, but the Simpsons label attributed more potential win to it as a whole than the writers have even managed to hint at in recent years.

Well the movie used the writers of the original series, who are different to the writers of the current series. So I think they were hoping for some added cachet there.

Oh. well. All I can say then is, the original writers were right to go. I really thought it was a product of the current writers.

Sort of with Roxi, here. (Astonishing how often that happens.) Not iconic, but entertaining enough. I did enjoy that the movie format allowed them to make fun of certain movie conventions such as "Continued in Part 2" and the like, and make their humour a wee bit more scatological vis-à-vis Bart's skateboard escapade. And who hasn't once hummed "Spiderpig"?

I can't remember any of it now, except the Spiderpig.

Gosh dang it all to heck.
