My slight sticking point is with: Quote: Do you believe that only things which can be demonstrated to be true are valid beliefs. I think I know why this is foolishness but I'm not sure. I think it's kind of a trap question. And also, if something is demonstrably true, then surely it's a fact? Facts do not require belief. You can believe what you like - The sun travels round the earth, the earth's core is filled with marshmallows, whatever - but scientific fact says that you're wrong and in fact Earth orbits the Sun which in turn orbits the Galactic centre and the Earth's core is molten rock. LATER: I looked at some forum posts you linked to, and discovered this little gem: syetenb wrote: The argument is that God is the precondition of intelligibility.
