Nick Griffin is the leader of the BNP, the closest thing England has to a Nazi party. A few days ago, he was invited to be part of the panel in serious and sensible political discussion show "Question Time" on the BBC.

This caused an e-furore as people started posting everywhere to protest against his villainy. I thought he should have been allowed to speak. I think people who hold dumbass political opinions should be allowed to say whatever they want, to allow people like me to rip them apart.

You don't have to watch the whole thing, you'll get the point.

On Friday's Have I Got News For You, there was a round where various photos were "disguised" (subjects had dresses superimposed on them).

One was of Nick Griffin. Everyone apparently had no idea who he was. Classic.

(I didn't know his name, but I knew "that's that BNP guy")

I really miss that show.

I guess it's good that no one knows him.

The BNP will never ever be taken seriously. Nobody in Britain is that finagling stupid. Then again, that may be just wishful thinking on my part, as I have been known to grossly underestimate human stupidity, and grossly overestimate human intelligence.

People will always vote for Nazis. The best we can hope for is to minimise their influence through the careful application of democratic principles.

Yeah - people think the British National Party will look out for Britain's National interests, where the mainstream parties are perceived to have failed.

A better name for the party would be the British Xenophobe and Insularist party for an idealised past and a hate-filled future.

It'll go the same way as the Australian "One Nation" party. That is, its leader will get arrested for electoral fraud, spend a few months in a prison, and the party will fall apart.

I'll sign up for that.
