I really didn't think a kid saying moderately amusing stuff about kittens would cause any sort of drama at all.

The babbling isn't entirely random, either. There is a tenuous connection to the images. That one about the kitten being adopted, for instance - they look completely different. That's clever. It took some thought.

But if you're going to hate it, you might as well hate it for the right reasons. You don't like kids, this has a kid in it, therefore you don't like it. The end.
